Electronics, preparation and diagnostics

I enjoy understanding how a machine works, finding what can be improved and turning an idea into something tangible.

My journey began with an Angwatt X1, which arrived in January 2025. That is where I got into scooter preparation and electronics, including the integration of a customised FT85BD controller.

In August 2026, I moved to a Dualtron Thunder 3. What motivates me is still the same: understand before making changes, work neatly and document each upgrade instead of changing things at random.

Riding, track work and testing

I ride, test and share what I experience on the ground. The track shows what really works once the scooter is moving.

My journey began in June 2023 with a Dualtron Speedway 5. I then moved to a Dualtron Bluetran in August 2025, followed by a Dualtron Thunder 2 in January 2026.

I ride the Thunder 2 on track. I bring a rider’s and tester’s perspective to REVOLT ENGINE: every idea or part must prove itself in real-world conditions.

Our story and approach

It all started with our own scooters. A high-performance electric scooter needs tuning and maintenance, and sometimes it breaks down. Instead of accepting that, we learned to understand how things work: electronics, mechanics and setup.

Esteban started with an Angwatt X1 in January 2025, where he integrated a customised FT85BD controller. He has been riding a Thunder 3 since August 2026. Kelyan started with a Speedway 5 in June 2023, moved to a Bluetran in August 2025, then to a Thunder 2 in January 2026. He brings riding and track experience to the project.

An independent approach

REVOLT ENGINE is not officially affiliated with any brand. We ride scooters from the Dualtron range because we know and enjoy them, but our technical choices remain our own.

Our goals

  • Document our builds and projects clearly and honestly.
  • Design custom parts and accessories, starting with our own scooters.
  • Eventually offer a selection of our designs in our shop.
  • Build a community around high-performance electric scooters in Réunion Island.
